My name is Tomeika S. (Leavell) Reeves. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP), Certified Grief Professional (CGP), Certified Compassion Fatigue Professional (CCFP), Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Provider (CCATP) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Trained and the Principal Therapist and Owner of Leavell Counseling, LLC. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Master of Science in Social Work (MSSW) both from the University of Louisville. I furthered my ability to practice by obtaining my Clinical License in Social Work in the state of Virginia in 2015, and in the state of Kentucky in 2017 and then Indiana in 2021. I am a member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW), Clinical Social Work Association (CSWA), Kentucky Society for Clinical Social Work (KSCSW) and received an Advanced Psychotherapy Certification from Wayne Institute through Bellarmine University in 2019. My professional background has afforded me a myriad of clinical experience across multiple settings all with the focus of supporting and empowering young adults, families and communities within areas of relationships, grief and loss, anxiety, depression and trauma, to name a few. I recognize that our society is ever-changing as are the lives that we lead, which is why it is necessary to lean in and leavell up to meet the changes and challenges we may encounter. Together, let’s strive for more in an effort to be our full and authentic selves.
